News of the second season in play was revealed at an event in the form of Kakegurui on January 6y this year. It was held at the Shinjuku Bunka Center in Shinjuku, Tokyo in Japan.

The broadcast date for the first episode of season two has yet to be confirmed.

Fans of the show were left in need of more anime series after the original climax ending. The show’s hero, Yumiko Gabami, faces Student Council President Kirari Momobami in a high stakes tarot game in the final episode.

the plot

Kakegurui’s story is about the students who attend Hyakkaou Private Academy. It is a school for the most affluent and privileged individuals. The school’s social hierarchy is defined by a series of games where students must bet their fortunes against each other.

Then the poorer students are seen as slaves and the richer students become their masters.

Shockingly, one day everything is turned upside down when a new student arrives at school. She’s someone who likes to gamble for pure thrills.

Soon she began to bring chaos to the hierarchy by not adhering to the rules of the school’s social structure. As she continues to wreak havoc throughout the school, the Student Council tries to silence her before it becomes too much of a problem.

Content Concerns

The decision to commission a second season caused fans of the show to be torn apart. Although the first season got rave reviews, there are doubts about whether there will be enough source material for the second season to thrive.

The show’s first season used five volumes of written content. This means that there are only three volumes left to use in Season Two.

Critics of the decision to release a second season soon suggest that a great deal of filler content could be used to give the season more body. Although proponents of the second season point to Game of Thrones as an example of a thriving TV show that has gone beyond written content.

Reddit user MetaThpr4h said, “Watching the S1 was fun so I’m definitely into more. It’s time for more slots!”

However, Reddit user fishboy0099 said, “As of now, I’d say there’s enough content for about 8 or 9 episodes. If another volume of material has already been written, but not released, it could go off on that. You probably You’re right though. We’ll probably have to wait another year.”

hit the movie market

In addition to announcing news of the second season, a live action movie for the Kakegurui series has been confirmed. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japan on MBS on 14y January and TBS at 16y January of this year.
