Season 6 of Peaky Blinders has ended with a vengeance. Tommy tied up several loose ends in Season 6 of the BBC drama, including Michael (Vin Cole) and “Cat Black” Billy Grid (Emmett J. Scanlan). That said, Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and Shelby Company Limited won’t be forgotten — here’s what we know so far about the show’s upcoming seventh season.
On the other hand, Tommy’s tuberculosis diagnosis turns out to be a hoax by fascist Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin) and Dr. Holford (Anurine Barnard). While fans were expecting Tommy Shelby to face a horrific end, it’s now safe to say that Tommy has yet to try to “change the world” if Peaky Blinders continues into the future.
Tommy returns victorious in Peaky Blinders Season 6 finale as the criminal mastermind Who is always one step ahead of his opponents. The Duke (Conrad Khan), his illegitimate son, is hailed into the Shelby family as the true Peaky Blinder when Shelby and Isiah (Jordan Bolger) task him with the task of assassinating traitor Billy Grid and expelling Finn (Harry Kirton) from the Shelby family (the reason for Finn’s absence is finally revealed). About the show for a long time: The Shelbys didn’t trust him.)
The brothers’ plot to assassinate Arthur (Paul Anderson) leads to an epic showdown between Arthur, Charlie (Ned Dennehy) and Jeremiah (Benjamin Zephaniah) against Laura Mackie (Charlene McKenna) and her band of IRAs, resulting in Arthur finally resurrecting. Revenge for Polly’s death (as well as the death of Laura McKee’s daughter).
Finally, Tommy travels to Canada with Johnny Dogs (Backy Lee). He thwarted his assassination by switching explosives to a different vehicle and shooting Michael, who was about to be killed.
Everything Tommy did in the final episodes of Season 6 was directed by knowing he was about to die. Tommy shuts down his business at the end of Season 6, transfers his role to Sophie Rundle’s Ada (as established since the first episode of Peaky Blinders), then retreats into the woods whose horses die.
However, a flash of insight prompts Tommy to connect with his daughter’s soul: Robbie draws Tommy into the fireplace, where he finds Dr. Holford with Mosley and Mitford (played by Amber Anderson) at the couple’s wedding. Tommy no longer faces an irreversible death sentence.
He rescues the frantic Doctor (resurrected by his new lease on life), and although his carriage catches fire, he leaves it and rides on his horse, leaving a slew of directions for the Peaky Blinders to follow in the aftermath of Season 6.
Peaky Blinders season 7 has been abandoned
According to the show’s director, Stephen Knight, there will be no season seven of Peaky Blinders. According to Knight (via Radio Times), the main culprit is the COVID-19 pandemic: “The initial goal was to do seven seasons, but COVID stole a year from us, and we decided the great idea was: Practically instead of that seventh series, is to go to the big screen. .

Is our Peaky Blinders game based on actual events?
Although Peaky Blinders is a fictional plot set in the Birmingham underworld, the TV series is based on the actual existence of a gang of the same name that operated in the Midlands during the late 19th century.
Movie based on Peaky Blinders Available in Store
The Peaky Blinders won’t be returning for season seven, but Stephen Knight has announced that a feature film will be released to wrap up the show. According to Knight (via Radio Times), the movie will take place during World War II. It’s about a little-known story from World War II that Becks will be involved in, and I know what will happen in those stories.”
After World War I, the characters of the Peaky Blinders begin as the main characters return time and time again to the Shock Period in the Tunnels (principally through their dark streak “in the middle of gloomy winter”). Ending the story with a world war is normal.

Peaky Blinders Season 6 finale teases more
With the help of Diana Mitford, Oswald Mosley, Jack Nelson (James Fritchville), Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and President Roosevelt, Tommy attempted to close his most dangerous deal yet. By vowing that he would “change the world,” Tommy had to contend with the consequences of his rise in social standing:
He slept with his opponent (literally, Diana Mitford sold him as the “English aristocratic style of handshake”) and pushed Lizzie to leave him. Although Tommy has eliminated many of his threats, he still has many enemies who are a serious threat after Season 6.
Tommy is saved from being diagnosed with his premature death and positioned as leader of the Peaky Blinders at the end of Season 6. But Jack Nelson knows he failed to kill the Shelby brothers, and Gina (Anya Taylor-Joy) will soon learn that her husband was murdered by the “devil” Tommy Shelby.
Finn also threatened Tommy Shelby by promising the Duke that he would come after him. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Tommy spent much of Season 6 reporting Churchill about his fascist connections to prevent Mosley from gaining power in Britain.
Season 6 did not end this dilemma, but it ended with Mosley’s victory (his wedding was attended by Adolf Hitler). Tommy will have to face his fierce enemies once again in the movie Peaky Blinders, in which Tom Holland is invited to participate.
Release date for Peaky Blinders
Stephen Knight has revealed plans for the Peaky Blinders movie in January 2021, but production is expected to begin in early 2023. Given that, the movie’s release date appears to be early 2024. Furthermore, Cillian Murphy and Paul Anderson will be returning.
Conrad Kahn, Sophie Randle and Harry Kirton made their appearances (considering his increased responsibility during the Season 6 finale and his unfinished business with Finn). The end of Peaky Blinders left a lot of avenues open for Tommy Shelby. The ending of the film remains unknown as well as Tommy’s fate.
